About International Students, Inc. (ISI)
Most international students who visit the United States never have an opportunity to visit an American home. International Students, Inc. is a Christian non-profit organization, headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, which promotes friendships between international students (of all religions and cultures) and local American families or individuals. ISI works across the U.S. with colleges and universities, helping students and scholars to experience authentic local culture in atmospheres of family and friendship.
To this end, ISI sponsors the IAF (International-American Fellowship) activities that take place on various Friday nights, Saturdays, or Saturday nights. These activities provide unique opportunities to see local American culture and families up close as you build lasting friendships.
The local ISI team is made up of many volunteers as well as two staff members. ISI is funded almost entirely by the generous giving of people who believe deeply in ISI's purpose and work. The ISI team and financial donors are grateful for the opportunity to serve our visitors from around the world, as one important way that we follow the example and teachings of Jesus Christ. ISI does not pressure its international friends to convert or conform to Christian beliefs. Most of our international friends continue to believe differently than we do, and we still consider them to be our dear friends. We welcome students of all beliefs and cultures.
